Registration Costs

The cost of registration will cover part of the cost of the event's programming. The remainder of the cost of the program will be covered by support from other sources.

Registration date A-countries B-countries C-countries
until 2008-04-30 € 30 € 20 € 10
until 2008-05-30 € 40 € 30 € 20
after 2008-06-01 € 50 € 40 € 30

Explanations:

A: All countries except those listed under B and C;
B: The 10 new member countries of the EU (who joined the EU in 2004)
C: Romania and Bulgaria, ex-socialist European countries, all countries in Asia (except Israel, Japan, and South Korea), Africa, and Latin America

Note 1: Those younger than 18 years old (= born after August 1990) do not need to pay a registration fee - however, there will be no special childrens' program.
Note 2: If you contribute to the event's programming, it is possible to receive a discount, and depending on the contribution, it is even possible to register free of charge. Please write about your planned contribution in the registration form and we will contact you about that.
Note 3: Please be aware that your registration will be complete only after you pay (as a minimum) the registration fee for the event. You are, of course, welcome to pay the entire sum. You can pay using one of these methods. If you need a letter of invitation in order to receive a visa, you must also pre-pay a sum of € 33 to receive that (see below, "Letter of Invitation").

Meal Costs

Full day of meals: € 10/day = € 80 for the whole event
Breakfast only: € 3/day = € 24 for the whole event

Note: Meals will begin with supper on the 9th and will end with lunch on the 17th of August

Lodging Costs

In the two-bed rooms: € 12/night = € 96 for the whole event

Note: There are a total of 8 nights (from Saturday night through Sunday morning). It is possible to participate for a shorter period; in this case, please give us your arrival and departure dates on the registration form.

Letter of Invitation

If you need to receive a letter of invitation to acquire a visa for Slovakia, that costs a total of € 33. If you come from an English-speaking country outside of Africa, this will probably not be necessary. Information on visa requirements can easily be found online, or else you can contact your the Slovakian Embassy in your country.

Note: Invitation letters must be approved by the police department; we must pay them a fee for this service. We can only send invitation letters for the event until June 30th, 2008. If you need a visa, please register before that time. To receive an invitation letter, please fill out the required fields in the registration form. In addition, please e-mail a scanned copy of your valid passport (the page with the photo and dates of validity) to the address . We are required to submit this information along with the invitation letter, when we seek approval from the police.
Our consulate will request that individual embassies give a free visa to SES attendees - that would mean that you could receive the visa itself free of charge, but there is not a 100% guarantee of that. Similarly, the visas should be processed more quickly than usual.

Excursions

All excursions will be paid for separately. It will be possible to sign up from them from April to the end of July. If you sign up for excursions after July 31st, we will not be able to guarantee a spot for you.
