Registration Costs

The cost of registration will cover only part of the cost of the event's programming. The remaining part of the program costs will be covered by support from other sources.

Registration date A-countries B-countries C-countries
until 2000-03-30 € 35 € 25 € 15
until 2009-04-30 € 45 € 35 € 25
after 2009-05-01 € 55 € 45 € 35

Explanations:

B: The 10 new member countries of the EU (who joined the EU in 2004)
C: Romania and Bulgaria, ex-socialist European countries, all countries in Asia (except Israel, Japan, and South Korea), Africa, and Latin America.

Note 1: Those younger than 18 years old (= born after July 1991) do not need to pay a registration fee - there will be a separate program for children, with child care.
Note 2: If you contribute to the event's programming, it is possible to receive a discount, and depending on the contribution, it is even possible to register free of charge. Please write about your planned contribution in the registration form and we will contact you about that.

Meal Costs

Full day of meals: € 11/day = € 88 for the whole event
Breakfast only: € 3.30/day = € 24.60 for the whole event

Note: Meals will begin with supper on the 10th and will end with lunch on the 18th of July.

Lodging Costs

In the two-bed rooms: € 12/night = € 96 for the whole event

Note: There are a total of 8 nights (from Friday night through Saturday morning). It is possible to participate for a shorter period; in this case, please give us your arrival and departure dates on the registration form.

Letter of Invitation

If you need to receive a letter of invitation to acquire a visa for Slovakia, that costs a total of € 35. (Except for visitors from Russia, Ukraine, and China. For those, the letters of invitation cost only 3 EUR.) For people from Russia and Ukraine, there is also a good chance of receiving a free visa.

Note: Invitation letters must be approved by the police department; we must pay them a fee for this service. We can only send invitation letters for the event until June 15th, 2009. If you need a visa, please register before that time. To receive an invitation letter, please fill out the required fields in the registration form. In addition, please e-mail a scanned copy of your valid passport (the page with the photo and dates of validity) to the address . We are required to submit this information along with the invitation letter, when we seek approval from the police.
Our consulate will request that individual embassies give a free visa to SES attendees - that means that you might not have to pay extra for the visa in the consulate itself, but there is no guarantee of that. The visas will hopefully be dealt with faster than usual.

Excursions

All excursions will be paid for separately. It will be possible to sign up until the end of June. (If you sign up for excursions after June 30th, we will not be able to guarantee a spot for you.)
