Questions
All questions contain a question word, for example kio - what, kiel - how, kiam - when (more question words).
Kio estas tio? - What is that?
Kiel vi fartas? - How are you?
Kiam vi venos? - When will you come?

For yes/no questions, the question word ĉu is used.Ŝi estas knabino. - she is a girl. | Ĉu ŝi estas knabino? - is she a girl?
Ĉu la knabino estas juna? - is the girl young? | Jes, ŝi estas juna. - yes, she is young
