Adverbs

Adverbs are words that indicate manner, place, time or quantity; for example:

ankoraŭ - still, yet almenaŭ - at least apenaŭ - barely, only just, hardly, scarcely
baldaŭ - soon preskaŭ - almost - even
jam - already jen - behold, here is, here are, look, there, ĵus - just, just now
morgaŭ - tomorrow hodiaŭ - today hieraŭ - yesterday
nun - now nur - only plu - more, on, else, further
tre - very tro - too, too much tuj - at once, right now, immediately
for - away

It's also possible to create adverbs from other words by using the -e ending. The meaning of the base word determines whether it becomes a manner, place, time or quantity adverb.

rapida - quick rapide - quickly (adverb of manner)
skribi - write skribe - in writing (adverb of manner)
hejmo - home hejme - at home (place adverb)
nokto - night nokte - at night (time adverb)
multaj - many multe - much (quantity adverb)
