Grammar

Frequent mistake

Faulty sentence: "Mi havas hundo."
Correct sentence: "Mi havas hundon."

Short explanation

Which thing has which thing? Do "I" have a dog, or does the dog have "me"? The object, the thing being acted on by the verb, always has the -n ending. Also see Grammar - Object.
