How should abbreviations be used?

Explanation

Writing in Esperanto, one often uses various abbreviations. But it's always necessary to remember, that if the thing being written is not just for personal use, then all abbreviations that are used must be easily understandable to other people. In Esperanto there are already many officially accepted abbreviations, that are easily understood by all Esperantists. Below is a short list of those abbreviations, that in our opinion are most common in various texts.

bv. (bonvolu) - please
ĉ. (ĉirkaŭ) - around, about
div. (diversaj) - various
d-ro (doktoro) - doctor
d-rino (doktorino) - doctor (female)
ekz. (ekzemple) - for example
f-ino (fraŭlino) - Miss
ges-roj (gesinjoroj) - Mr. and Mrs.
h. (horo) - hour
i.a. (interalie) - among others
inkl. (inkluzive) - including
k (kaj) - and
k.a. (kaj aliaj) - and others
k.c. (kaj ceteraj) - and the rest
k.s. (kaj simile) - and similarly
k.t.p. (kaj tiel plu) - et cetera
n.b. (notu bone) - take note
n-ro (numero) - number
p. (paĝo) - page
P.S. (postskribo) - postscript
red. (redaktoro) - editor
rim. (rimarko) - comment
s-ro (sinjoro) - Mr.
