Here are some more detailed explanations:

  • The course mostly consists of short dialogues that you can use to learn sentences useful for your first contacts with Esperanto speakers.

  • The setting of the course is an Esperanto meeting somewhere in the world. You arrive there and, little by little, you begin to become acquainted with the people there, learn how to take care of practical matters, and, most importantly, learn how to use the language!

  • In "part 1" of the lessons, you are first given several explanatory sentences, sometimes with examples. Below them there is an icon in the shape of a speaker, which you should click on after you have read the text above it.

  • Often, in addition to listening to them, you can also read the words/sentences. In that case you will see a where you should repeat the word or phrase, and a where you should respond or ask (the word "vi" means "you").

  • The Esperanto text is clickable, so that you can easily obtain a translation of any word.

  • Sometimes, you can only listen to the words or sentences, to allow you to pay special attention to listening and your speech.

  • If for some reason you didn't hear or understand the recorded voice very well, just click on the sound icon again and listen to it once more.

  • You will quickly understand how the course works, but if you come across something that isn't clear enough you are always welcome to write to .
