Publications

Pola Esperantisto "Pola Esperantisto" ["Polish Esperantist"] was launched for the first time in July 1906. During its almost 100-year existance, there have been many periods when it was either not published at all, or published in a very modest form.

In the year 2002, an editor of "Wydarzenia" ("Events") - the largest newsletter of the Polish Esperanto Association (the largest Polish Esperanto organization), Kazimierz Leja, agreed with the board of PEA, that for the next 5 years (2003-2007) he would begin to publish "Pola Esperantisto" again, which had not been published for many years.

This is how it happened. In the year 2003, the publication appeared again as a bi-monthly sociocultural magazine of Polish Esperantists, in black and white, in A5 format on 32 pages, and officially the official newsletter or bulletin of no one. During the following two years, 12 issues appeared, containing articles about Polish Esperanto past and present, about culture and art, a language corner. There was also current information about the movement in general, and series encouraging the readers to consider various issues in the movement. Now, the magazine is published by the board of directors of the Polish Esperanto Association.

In the third year of its 'reborn' existance, PE began to appear with a somewhat modified graphic appearance. In the year 2006 (a jubilee year for PE) there are plans to print a special full-color issue in celebration.

Authors who have written in PE so far are: Zofia Banet-Fornalowa, Czesław Baranowski, Renato Corsetti, Tomasz Chmielik, Roman Dobrzyński, Zbigniew Galor, Marian Kostecki, Ilona Koutny, Kazimierz Leja, Lidia Ligęza, Maria Majerczak, Stanisław Mandrak, Teresa Nemere, Andrzej Warszawski, Paweł Wimmer, and others

Currently, PE has about 250 subscribers, including about 20 foreign subscriptions.
