Kataluna Esperantisto is the official publication of Kataluna Esperanto-Asocio (the Catalan Esperanto Association - http://www.esperanto.cat). It was founded in 1910 as the organ of the then Catalan Esperantist Federation, andit disappeared and reappeared on several occasions due to political difficulties. The longest period during which it was absent was forty five and a half years from December 1936 onwards, due to the civil war and the fascist dictatorship that followed it. Since 1982, it has been published regularly and it currently appears every three months in a 20-page-long A4 format. It uses Esperanto and Catalan; in the latter, news about the language and opinion or historical articles with interest for the general public are published, while in Esperanto you can read news about the association, a column about Esperanto and the internet, and articles for beginners and improvers that follow the rules of Kontakto. 400 copies of each issue are published, of which 150 are distributed to associations and libraries within the country.
All members of Kataluna Esperanto-Asocio receive the paper version, but a freely readable online version http://www.esperanto.cat/c/ke.htm also exists with exactly the same content and presentation.
