La Espero , Svenska Esperantotidningen, was founded in 1913. It is the primary Swedish Esperanto magazine after "Esperantisten" left the world of Esperanto and joined the Ido movement. "La Espero" is now an official organ of the Swedish Esperanto Federation. The magazine is edited by Leif Nordenstorm. The primary goal of the magazine is to encourage Swedish Esperantists to use the language and continue learning it. Another goal is to inform Swedes about the language. There are also reports of Swedish, worldwide, and other congresses. Sometimes poetry and prose appears. There are usually four twelve page issues and one double twenty four page issue each year.
