La Espero , Svenska Esperantotidningen, was founded in 1913. It is the primary Swedish Esperanto magazine after "Esperantisten" left the world of Esperanto and joined the Ido movement. "La Espero" is now an official organ of the Swedish Esperanto Federation. The magazine is edited by Leif Nordenstorm. The primary goal of the magazine is to encourage Swedish Esperantists to use the language and continue learning it. Another goal is to inform Swedes about the language. More than three quarters is in Esperanto, less than one quarter in Swedish. The permanent features are:

• Ni prezentas [We present] (an interview with one Swedish Esperantist)
• Lingvo [Language]
• Tra la mondo [Across the world] (notices about the movement outside Sweden)
• Tra la lando [Across the country] (notices about the movement in Sweden)
• SEJU (about the youth movement)
• Temo [Theme] (a technical or popular science article)
• Libroj [Books]

There are also reports of Swedish, worldwide, and other congresses. Sometimes poetry and prose appears. There are usually four twelve page issues and one double twenty four page issue each year.
