Pipi Ŝtrumpolonga

"Pipi Longstocking" is one of the most translated children's books in the world. The famous Swedish author Astrid Lindgren created the character of Pipi during the winter of 1941 for her seven year old daughter Karin, who was sick with pneumonia. Karin asked for a story about Pipi Longstocking (the seven-year-old thought up the name just at that moment), and Astrid, who at that time had not even considered the possibility of becoming an author, started to tell a story. Here we use the Esperanto translation of Sven Alexandersson.
